This week the IPHC joined in with the DTS to hear Captain Jesse from Marine Reach speak on Missions. It was good to have a focus shift and take a break from the medical side of things to remember that God is the reason we do health care. Here are a few things the students said about the week:
“It was intriguing, a time to really examine my heart towards missions.”
“Something that stood out to me was about unreached people groups. Finishing the task. There are 540 million people that have never heard about God and there is a sleeping army of Christians who could change that.”
“Delayed obedience is disobedience. We need to be obeying what God tells us to do immediately, not doing it in our own time.”
“A lot of good stories. This really encourage me.”
“I felt like it wasn’t about missions, it was about us and our worldview. Then I realized that we ARE missions. It was good.”
“Our worldview needs to be challenged. We need to examine what we actually believe. Then we need to make sure what we believe lines up with what God believes. His view on the world needs to be our view.”
“I basically learned how to bring christianity to the world. I realized that my understanding of God needs to be solid so that I can present who God really is to those I’m ministering to.”
